Pico laser

What is Pico Laser?

Similar to popular Q-switched Laser, the Pico Laser or picoseconds laser is a non-ablative laser, this is mainly used for removal pigmentation, skin rejuvenation, acne scars, tattoo removal, and brightening.

The Pico laser is working in ultra short pico second laser pulses, instead of the nanosecond pulses in a Q-Switched Laser.

This means that the pulse duration of a pico laser is 100s shorter than the Q-switched Laser. The pulse duration is how much time 1 laser have the shot stays on the skin. The more laser shots can be fired by the Pico laser in the same amount of time as compared to the Q-switched Laser.

The short pulse duration also means that the skin is heating up less and this will reduce the risk of hyper pigmentation. This will also form due to the various laser procedures.

Q-switched Laser vs. Pico Laser

The pico laser is mainly operating at 1064nm wavelength it is similar like Q-Switched Laser. The Pico laser is discovered with the patented technology of Quanta Pico-Boost. This can deliver up to 1.8GW of power. This will make the discovery of pico laser as the most powerful laser in the class.

At the wavelength of 1064, both the Pico Laser and Q-switched laser are targeting the pigmentation. Pigmentation is also absorbing the laser energy of skin and it is then shattered in the smaller fragments. These fragmented pigments are then removed by the skin immune system.
